And now it's high time to realize that show goes on, and goes with more power and more bright musical ideas to be put through. The brand new release, titled "Easy Motion" EP was released on June 9, 2009 and its highlight is not only in the trademark music solutions but also in a fact that this EP is an initial issue of a new-born Low Flow Records - a record label founded by the Mad and Spectral very members, Ashot Babayan and Garry Mkrtchyan. This EP brings in warm and comforting fusion of deep house flavours. Starting with the original version, the duo introduces the smooth and laid back rhythm filled with elegant and synthetic synth stabs, crowned by the positive 80s styled analogue keys that work out an outstanding ambience. The remixes include a re-rub by Pavel Korzhensky - a talented DJ and producer from St. Petersburg who appears under the alias of Ksky. Having previously produced for such labels like Deepology Digital and Support House, Ksky represents the ‘techier’ side of the original track, with his trademark urban signature sound throughout his dub. The closing remix by the original artists themselves, titled ‘deeper motion dub’, sounds just as it reads. This one is actually more dancefloor-oriented one and has got that pulsating and crowd-shaking vibe in it. So keep an eye both on Mad and Spectral's new achievements and the Low Flow Records, because this is part of history, where you can become a part of it! ![]() "Through It All" Mad and Spectral have prepared a brand new gift for all the real deep electronics appreciators as well as for the whole electronic club music community. The brand new single, titled "Through It All" is released through the Athens-based label Wet Recordings, which is firmly oriented at the signature deep house music production. Mad and Spectral - "Through It All" EP is already available at Junodownload as a promo and is scheduled to be released on 29.12.2008 ![]() Slow Sex: Deeper Revision The chaotic situation in Mad and Spectral's home studio, with scattered CDs and papers all over the room and the keyboards on the floor, gave another brilliant result. This time the tireless and ever fertile duo has decided to give a new breath to one of their old and almost forgotten tunes - "Sex Me Slow". The track was initially recorded in the middle of 2006, during the soulful house-influenced period of Mad and Spectral, with the exclusive guest-appearance by the mysterious UK-based singer, who went under the alias of S.Curley for this production. Unfortunately, due to some problems that the duo had to face by that time, the initial version of "Sex Me Slow" had got no chance to be released or just to be put in a club/radio-rotation and became almost lost. Not to lose the great emotional background and the perfectly performed vocals of S.Curley, Mad and Spectral gave a new life to the tune, changing its old "skin" that turned "Sex Me Slow" sound really smoother and deeper, vindicating it's title. The single also includes a trademark remix by the artist known as Addex, whose dark rework of Mad and Spectral's "Something For Catwalk" has already made some noise in the contemporary deep electronics community. The newly resurrected "Sex Me Slow" EP is released through Manuscript Records on November 17-th, 2008, and it is exclusively available on Juno. ![]() Shine! A great surprise for all the real deep electronica aesthetes: a brand new single from Mad and Spectral is already out! The tune entitled "Shine For Me" is a true embodiment of its title and represents a deep and mega-positive edge of what is called house music. The vocals for the track were provided by Lucia - Mad and Spectral's trademark vocalist, who has already showed her performance mastery in the producer-duo's previous releases such as "Paradise" EP. Mad and Spectral - "Shine For Me" EP includes the original version of the track, a remix from its authors themselves, titled 'la couleur de soleil dub', which can be characterized as a garish fusion of the contemporary deep house and the classic French wave. The single also includes the remixes by Shannon Chambers and Marlon Sadler, which discover the classic UK house sides of the 'shining' tune. Mad and Spectral - "Shine For Me" EP is released through the UK label Groove Baby and is already available at all main digital music stores. "Shine For Me" is another emotive deep house elixir that will not remain unnoticed and will leave its bright trace in the history of the modern electronic music by any means. ![]() Tribute To Catwalk After quite a long period of productive silence, Mad and Spectral are slowly bringing out one of their brand new secret deep house weapons, in a form of an EP, titled “Something For Catwalk”. The tune is an outstanding experience of the contemporary deep house and deep tech fusion, where the delicate noises and freaky samples embedded in the funky minimalistic bassline and percussions come as one to grant you the unforgettable traveling without moving. Due to its musical feeling, “Something For Catwalk” can be associated with glamour, posh, acid, nasty and freaky modern deep neo-minimalism that starts to reign in the electronic music of nowadays. According to its main sound and genre specification, this release could be easily put out under the alias of Salt Sweet, but this time Ashot and Garry did not think so, and just like some other similar upcoming tracks, “Something For Catwalk” is out under the name of Mad and Spectral. “Something For Catwalk” EP includes the original mix as well as a very bright and emotional re-rub by an artist called Addex. The remix by Addex represents a flagship ‘technoesque’ tune which discovers the darker sides of the original version and without a doubt can be considered as a pre-dancefloor-burning tune. Mad and Spectral – “Something For Catwalk” EP is out via Manuscript Records and surely it is an exotic and delicious dessert for any house music gourmand or a self-estimated DJ. ![]() Daclip Remixes EP A forthcoming deep house masterpiece by Mad and Spectral is going to be represented by the collection of remixes of the duo's previously released works. The man who took care of the remixes is another master of deep sounds, known as Daclip (born Aleksey Sharihin). Daclip's original production, which is mainly released on Deepology Digital, is a true evidence of the classic deep house fusion with nowadays technoesque influence, and as a result we get amazing tunes that deserve the highest mark. Releases by Daclip have managed to blow the international top-charts, such as Beatport (Daclip – "Transcendentalism" - #11 @ Beatport Top 100 Deep House Charts, Daclip – "Vanity" (Alex Douche remix) - #6 @ Beatport Top 100 Deep House Chart). His tracks are the often guests of such podcasts and charts by the likes of Fish Go Deep, Da Funk (June 2008 Top 10), UrbanTorque Transmissions Podcast, SMOKE IT DEEP – with Blacksoul podcast, and many others! The main concept of Salt Sweet is consolidation of Mad and Spectral's tech house and deep tech productions in another branch, where the original sound ideas of the duo remain the same but the musical genre bends towards tech, progressive and minimal. "Well, I think it's a natural part of an evolution for such project as Mad and Spectral", noticed Garry Spectrum. "Salt Sweet is Mad and Spectral, but dressed in other clothes and scented with other perfume, and just like our other projects like Artificial Twins or Sckaff_9, Salt Sweet is going to represent a let's say "techier" part of Mad and Spectral." According to the duo, they're currently negotiating with some proper labels to present the Salt Sweet debut EP to the global electronic music community. Here is the official Salt Sweet page on MySpace. ![]() It's About Life Mad and Spectral hit the studio yesterday (March 2, 2008) to take care of the vocals for their latest production, entitled "Life We Live".
